Broken Arrow (Indian Lakes) 10/2016

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) just concluded two bait trap operations in Nevada; 63 wild horses were removed from the Goshute HMA (Antelope Complex) and 297 were removed from the Pancake HMA. The horses were taken to the Fallon facility on Indian Lakes Rd (Broken Arrow) in NV.

When the facility is used for intake directly from the range the BLM agreed to schedule tours. https://wildhorseeducation.org/2014/07/28/blm-nv-creates-access-to-wild-horses-and-will-open-facility-to-public/

Orphans from the removals (foals whose mothers were not captured or did not pair up) will be featured soon on a webpage for adoption.

We saw many familiar faces. Jackson Mountain, Triple B, Antelope… on and on… and even a few we have seen since the Calico 2009/2010 operation.

Fast slideshow. Link to announcement of tour and former articles.https://wildhorseeducation.org/2016/10/19/tour-of-blm-facility-in-fallon-scheduled/
