Wild Word: December 20

As holiday season arrives activities in the “world of wild horses” continue to threaten safety and survival. Our work continues in our legal battle against the “spay plan” in Utah and the plans BLM is finalizing to spay, remove and decimate populations in the West.

The incoming administration has proposed a new Secretary of Interior, Deb Haaland of New Mexico. Her nomination must still pass a Senate confirmation hearing early next year before she will carry the title “Madame Secretary.” This nomination comes as, soon to be former Secretary, Berhardt tests positive for Covid-19.

There is a lot of work to do to keep our wild ones protected as 2020 roars to a close.

Stay Safe. Stay Strong. Together we continue the fight.

Wild Horse Education will soon be releasing our year end review; a photo album looking back on the past year spent protecting our wild ones. This album will contain a myriad of beautiful photographs celebrating our wild horses, the work we’ve done to fight for them against abuse, and you, our supporters.

The album will be sent out to anyone who has supported the work of Wild Horse Education through actions and/or contributions this past year.

What you can do today to help in the fight.

Please take action to demand Congress defund any roundups where the BLM has failed to create open and transparent management planning.  Click HERE.

Call the Senate switchboard and ask for your rep. Demand that all actions against wild horses and burros halt until William Perry Pendley leaves the BLM. His tenure was ruled illegal and BLM is still moving an agenda forward for Pendley’s former law clients.  All actions Pendley had a hand in must face scrutiny by a Senate committee. Switchboard (202) 224-3121

Our year end match is here. Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $5K. Year end funding is vital to keep our teams working in the field, educating Congress and in the courts.
