WHE? Like ABC’s (from a volunteer)

Our volunteers are the backbone of WHE that have held up our organization so that we can expand our work in the field and in the fight. Our work in field and investigations have continued to expose all that is wrong. We have been able to use that information and expand our litigation over the last two years. Every case we have brought to conclusion in 2024 has won desperately needed precedent to protect and preserve our herds. We have cases still active and new ones being filed. Our volunteer base (and your support) are rapidly solidifying a force to be reckoned with.

When we asked volunteer Marie Milliman why she has stayed with WHE for eight years, she replied: “That is as easy as ABC! Oh, I think I’ll do a picture essay!”

Before we give you the “ABC,” we want to give you an update. The foal with the severly torn lip from the Twin Peaks roundup has been found, is doing well and is ready for a forever home.

When the filly arrived at the Litchfield holding corrals instead of euthanizing, the manager told the vet to “stitch it up” and see how she does. The baby healed and 8092 could use a loving forever home for the holiday. You can adopt the survivor at Litchfield (CA).

It is an honor to share this tumultuous journey with Laura and the remarkable team of volunteers who effectively advocate for our Wilds at WHE. There isn’t an alphabet long enough to incorporate the wide range of attributes that WHE offers in its quest to educate the public and dedicate its actions to protecting our wild ones.

If you believe in fighting for equity on the range, the beauty of freedom, protection from abuse, and a wild heart, we must continue this spirited quest beside each other, heart to heart, providing strength and support as we travel this precipitous road of advocacy.

Have a wonderful holiday season and, do not forget, united we stand.

Year end traditions have begun. You can see the “Top Ten” most viewed articles, videos and images from WHE in 2024 by clicking HERE.

End of year funding is critical to keep our team in the field reporting to you and all of the other work we do like investigations and litigation. Without your support, none of our work is possible.

We have been offered a match leading into the end-of-the year of 10K. All contributions will be matched through midnight, December 31!

Thank you!

There are many ways you can support the work of WHE from shopping online, our Zazzle storefront or even through stock contributions.
