Reliable Reporting (and a year-end boost!)

WHE works hard to be your frontline news and information source.

During roundups our team brings you timely in-depth coverage from onsite to keep you informed. Every single day our team starts before dawn and works long into the night to keep you in the know and ready to take timely action.

The only way to create desperately needed change is to expose what is wrong.

Our roundup team has been the driving force behind policy change moving toward enforceable welfare rules. WHE is the only org to ever directly litigate abuse and gain the first standards for welfare. Now we are fighting to make those standards concise and enforceable.

In addition to roundup coverage, our team provides you with in-depth investigative work, articles on how processes and protocols work, changes in policy and actions you can take on proposed roundups and policy changes.

WHE has become a resource the public, media and even other organizations rely on for hard hitting factual reporting. Over 500K people read articles on our website in 2024!

WHE has never set up a paywall or subscription. Our rapid reports have always been available to everyone at the same time regardless of contributions.

As the new year looms on the horizon, WHE has been offered a specific gift to keep the information flowing!

WHE has a 10K match through the end of the year to keep our team running and precedent setting litigation alive (every case we have brought to conclusion in 2024 has walked away with a desperately needed win). We must take litigation already active to conclusion and launch additional cases to protect and preserve our wild ones in 2025.

A SPECIAL 5K bonus match has been added just for the boots-on-the-ground reporting team! If you make your contribution a monthly contribution that lasts at least 3 months, your contribution will be TRIPLED!

Coming in 2025

2025 is set to see one of the largest single roundups ever performed at the Rock Springs Complex in Wyoming (Great Divide Basin, Adobe Town, Salt Wells Creek, White Mountain and Little Colorado Herd Management Areas). This operation will include zeroing out Great Divide basin and Salt Wells Creek and capture and remove more than 3,600 wild horses.

Kiger and Riddle are on the schedule, too. A massive roundup is planned in the heart of burro country at Three Rivers and we have begun the legal battle.

There are herds that remain untouched by continued madness that the public continues to enjoy… and we are litigating to gain fair and balanced management to preserve these herds.

Our team is working very hard.

We have no corporate sponsors or partners. We have no government grants. We have no deep pockets or celebrity.

What WHE have is a deep and abiding commitment and the support of people like you that trust WHE to present reliable data and information…. and to never back down.

End-of-year funding is critical. Over a third of our entire annual budget is raised this time of year and is the single most determining factor in deciding just how much we can take on in the coming year.

Please, help us continue the battle and expand our reach.

Onward.
